Blurring Boundaries and
Ambiguous Roles:
Universities and the Entrepreneurial Ecosystem
The question on whether or not universities should play a role in fostering socio-economic development has become a trivial one. Rather, we are confronted with questions on how universities should fulfill this role and the extent to which this needs to happen. Increased digitalization, the quest for substantiating impact, and the broadening of stakeholder groups and demands, lead to the blurring of boundaries in the universities technology transfer process and to ambiguity in the roles at different levels of the university.
A special issue of The Journal of Technology Transfer is associated with the conference, and the guest editors will invite the best T2S 2024 contributions for submission.
